I thought I'd post this Track IR Profile here as it's been requested a few times both here and in Twitch:

    iRacing Track IR5 Profile

Simply open up in Winzip or what have you and place the xml file in your Users/YourUsername/AppData/NaturalPoint/TrackIR 5/Profiles folder.

Remember that AppData is often a hidden file so you may have to change your folder permissions to actually see it.

If you're like me you may not have a NaturalPoint folder in AppData so another place to look is in the NaturalPoint/TrackIR5/Profiles folder. This is where mine are stored anyway.

You'll need to restart the Track IR Software for this profile to show up.

Once TrackIR is restarted simply navigate to Advanced Settings/Profiles and select "iRacing" (without the quotes) from the Profile Dropdown box.

All movements have been tuned out with the exception of Yaw and a low level of Pitch.

    Enjoy.

    XML Code Below:

Maybe we should sticky a thread, similar to the post I did for the FOV guide- maybe with that included, that has links and other helpful setup info?

AKA stuff like... I use iRacing's car setup PDF often, other car setup guides, FFB setup guide, etc

I didn't want it to get lost in another thread simply because of how often it's requested.

    Stickied.

I've actually considered adding Track IR into my stream title simply because of how much it's requested. The only reason I haven't is because you have a certain character limit when titling your Twitch Streams.

I can't remember what it is but too long desyncs your Twitter Account.

In terms of using for stream, the one-monitor setup with trackir is 100x more engaging to the viewer. I think possibly the best you could use. Especially when you use it pretty often / so fluidly.

Since it is quite popular I can make a Trackir section for your twitch stream (like the other cool sections you have) that you can link directly here.

Now if only it so pricey... I wonder if they'll be almost forced to lower prices considering you can get full VR headset with head tracking for a couple hundred more.

I placed the iRacing XML in the right folder with the three default profiles but it's not showing up in the dropdown list after restarting TrackIR

Why do you have 3 Default Profiles, that doesn't make sense?

...or are you referring to Default, One to One and Smooth?

If so, do these 3 Profiles show up in the dropdown list on the Profiles Tab?

Yeah I put the XML with those 3, is that not the right place?

The default ones show up just fine.

and yes, by default I meant the ones that came with the software.

Yup it's the right place so after a restart you should see the iRacing Profile in the dropdown list.

Yeah it's there, and I've restarted TrackIR and even restarted my computer to see if that helped and it won't show up in the drop down.

Not sure, just know it's TrackIR 5, I downloaded it off their website yesterday so it should be up to date. I'm not at my computer until Sunday so sorry that I can't be more specific

I think Quadro had issues because his Profile Folder is located outside the parameters I list in my original post.

It could be you're putting the profile in the wrong folder P.

I have it in exactly the same path as you list. Have tried updating the Track IR software, still no luck. I'm at a loss at this point.

EDIT: I have found out they are stored in the path:

    [drivename]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles

    problem solved :)

The profiles are no longer stored in NaturalPoint/TrackIR5/Profiles, they can now be found in the directory "%AppData%\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles"
This changed with V5 of the software.
