Ran VLN this morning with Reid taking the first two stints and I took the next 2. We started 47th on grid, 29th in class, so didn't need to start in the pits :p I guess there was considerable mayhem at that start. I didn't get to see it because I was at the salon (a girl has to have her priorities :)), but it must have been a mess. Reid emerged from the mayhem in 12th position and by the end of his second sting was in 10th. I was able to keep the car on the track for the most part so we ended up finishing the race in 6th!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, too bad, VLN can be crazy  Yeah, I missed the start since I had an appointment so didn't get in until right before the third stint. Reid and I were talking on Discord so weren't on TS. Good luck if you run the second race!!!!!

Nice progress @Deb and too bad of that 1st corner incident @SavreticD , the braking zone there is very dangerous.

I did the race on Saturday, started 7th in top split (AMG). I got a 4x in turn 1 from behind but it was light and no damage I think, so it was fairly clean. I had a few moments of racing with the GT3s around me. Most of them were very aggressive so that was not enjoyable from my perspective. On the broadcast you could even see PRT and MSP were driving very naughty at the front, which ended when MSP punted PRT off in a seemingly intentional manner.

I did have a whoops going over a curb which caused me to clip a wall. Luckily I was able to pit that lap and used my fast repair.

In total I saw 1 Porsche the entire race (who decided he didn't want to get passed by driving in the middle of the road).

The Mazdas were as usual, some scared away when I came close, others noticed you but enjoyed their right to the racing line, and yet others did not notice me at all it seemed like. That's what killed my race in the end. A Mazda was drifting over from the left side to the right side of the track very slowly not too far in front of me. And because the closing rate is so high, I didn't have enough time to figure out where exactly he was trying to go before hitting him. This is the timestamp of the incident on the broadcast:

Luckily there wasn't much time left in the race so I knew I was pretty solid in 7th at that point. Without a fast repair I just parked it in the wall somewhere as driving a broken car is not that enjoyable around the Ring.

Wow, that's too bad, Noel  We were in a lower split, not sure which and the driving was not aggressive, more inexperienced. No Mazda. Always glad when you survive a race on the Ring, the Mazda pace is just so different.

I'd like to race in the 6 hour VLN race this saturday at 14:00 GMT. I did the last VLN race solo and did manage to finish it, but I don't think I can last 6 hours. So I am looking for someone to team up for this one. Is anyone of you looking for a (slow) driver for the Mercedes?

I don't have any setup preferences - I did the last race on a whim with baseline.

This might actually be a nice one. 6 Hours and the time of day is morning. I'm practicing for the Porsche at the moment to try and solo it.

I think I might roll with ya there. What time slot are you thinking? I'm very adaptable and not picky about setups.

And suddenly, @SavreticD appeared out of nowhere in my rear view mirror in a VLN practice session. Thanks for sharing the setup, I like it.

@Jes_971: Let's do this. As I said, I'd like to race the Saturday 2:00pm GMT time slot. Does that work for you? The only other option would start at 5:00am my time (3:00am GMT) on Sunday - I don't see myself awake at that point. Do you have any preferences regarding single/double stinting?

I'll probably practice tomorrow night (starting ~ 21:30 GMT for 1-2 hours) and Friday late evening / night. I'll be on TeamSpeak when I'm driving.

I believe 2pm GMT would be 9am EST so that works for me.

    Np @ShadniX
Im just not sure about cambers so that can change, usually fronts are around -2.8 but I lowered because long race and I think double stinting tires will be possible without big problems. Will see when I test that tomorrow

That was a lot of fun and ended well. Jes and I ended up in bottom split and started at the back. From there, we basically just collected better positions and a couple of dents along the way. Saved the fast repair until the last pit stop. Finished in 6th place, one minute and something behind team Deb/Reid/Bedo.

Thanks again @Jes_971 for doing this race with me. The next one is in two weeks, if you want to tackle that as well.
    Thanks @SavreticD for the setup.
