Band of Others took part in the iRacing Daytona 24, a 24-hour endurance event utilizing the Daytona International Speedway Road Course! The event featured two classes of cars; the faster “Prototype” class featuring the Coyote-made C7 Corvette Daytona Prototype, and the “German Grand Touring” class featuring the Mercedes AMG GT3, Audi R8 GT3, and BMW Z4 GT3 cars.

The event drew 1,101 drivers on nearly 300 teams in the Prototype class, and 1,682 drivers on over 450 teams in the German GT3 class. The end result was 10 full splits of half DP/half GT3 cars, and three more splits made up entirely of German GT3’s.

Band of Others Racing | The Inaugural iRacing 24h of Le mans

The Band of Others Racing team, after weeks of practice leading up to the Inaugural iRacing 24h of Le Mans, are ready for the historic event.

The last endurance event of the year is held at the newest track on the iRacing service, scanned during the 2016 weekend of 24h of Le Mans. The prestigious 24h of Le Mans is a multi-class event featuring 3 classes with the Band of Others Racing team fielding an Aston Martin DBR9 in the GT1 class.

Band of Others Endurance Racing

Band of Others Racing, a new up-and-coming GT3 team consisting of seven drivers currently, made headlines last week after confirming two car entries for the Blancpain Endurance Series. The submissions came ahead of BES’s first round at Road Atlanta, slated for Saturday the 10th.

The three hour endurance race would mark the team’s first official endurance series together, after many hours of practice and a few unofficial Endurance Series races.

Band of Others started the second quarter of the season with a bit of a new attitude. After top 5 finishes for Dino’s, at CTMP, and Kyle, at Monza, the team no longer just felt like a “back of the pack” team. Although they claimed to maintain the “…just finish…” attitude that carried them through the first three rounds, B2O left Monza with a little more confidence. They also left Italy with a bit of a budding rivalry! After a few on track run-ins with Newfornia Motorsports, the two teams took to social media for a bit of jesting. As B2O Racing gained speed over the last few weeks, however, the number of on-track battles between B2O and Newfornia drivers has not been few and far between! …
