2025 iRacing Sebring 12 Hour

So what is everyone thinking for the 12 Hours of Sebring? I had a blast in the GTP at Daytona, but this race will be happening in a new season, with the revised GTP tyre model, so it should be slower/more difficult? Not sure how that is going to play out. LMP2 would probably be my first pick, just for the added certainty. GT3, I can drive whatever, I'm not fussed.

I'm pretty open to class as well, so if anyone has a strong preference, let us know.

I don't have a strong preference. My thoughts on each class:
1. GTP: Was fun to drive at Daytona and likely will be at Sebring too, even though the hybrid system won't change. The new tires will make it more difficult and hopefully make it less of a go-to car for the drivers looking for noob missiles.
2. LMP2: Always a good car to drive, and I have yet to try it on the updated tire model. Nice balance of traffic as well.
3. GT3: Picking which car to drive is already a challenge, but I don't mind driving Sebring at all in these cars.

It looks like the week before Sebring is spring break, so I'll be out of town that week. I'll have to practice before then so any thoughts of what I should be practicing in would be helpful and I'll look for a setup.

Deb, there are ONLY 16 cars in this event... how hard is it, really, to just practice all of them? I thought the word "retired" was Latin for "unlimited free time"...

B2O #000 are going to throw ourselves in at the "slow end" in the Porsche GT3. With myself @ShadniX and @Reggie. with some kind of miracle we might make it into the same split as you speedy crazies in the LMP2 (if we do the same time slot that is!)

I would guess the Midday GMT Saturday time-slot unless @ShadniX or @Reggie have another choice?
@Skid_Marc_ @Noodleguitar @Deb did you decide on a time-slot yet? or maybe you are going for that 24 hour ironman action that you did for Bathurst? :D

I wouldn't mind another 24-hour run. Quite enjoyed it at Bathurst.
I really enjoyed the 24 hour run as well, but I am not sure I could do it again when the 1st time slot starts pretty much at the end of my day. Time slot 2 + 4 could be an option for me, but then there is an overlap of about 3 hours.

So far I see Nejt in the GT3 and another team in the LMP2 correct?
Is there any more planned?
I'm open to drive GT3 or GTP, with the upcoming breaking GTP change, I'd probably prefer running a GT3 to be safe so I can properly adjust to a GTP before running an endu race.

So far, that is correct, another team depends on whether we get more folks who want to race too.

Last I heard, Ken also wanted to run the McLaren at Sebring. However, that is dependent on him being able to get seat time. I believe he is out of the country until next week.

I ran an FFS in moderate rain today in an HS with both real drivers and AI. The fastest lap I had was 203.159, but lap times varied strongly due to amount of traffic. The FFS was 22 laps, worse tires on the RF at 78% in the middle, so no tire wear issues. Right now the GTP is much faster than the LMP2 and when its raining hard it is a challenge to get around the GT3s, but when the rain stops it is no problem. The hardest part was the drivers that put on slicks much to early and were a hazard to everyone.
