Elite: Dangerous...again?

Active player numbers are way up and after jumping in a bit it's easy to see why. Trailblazers is out and since Odyssey, the Engineering grinding isn't quite so bad. Triple materials for engineering upgrades, farmable locatiions, new ships and colonization. Was wondering if we wanted to get some wings back together again or even 'gasp' colonizing a system in Band of Others' name. Let me know what people are thinking. Odyssey is $7 on code or $9 on steam right now.

Further to @Ogami Itto post , I came across this video which seems to sum things up (at least from my perspective) Quite nicely State of the Game 2025

I am still unsure if I can get out of the ship in VR normally (Odyssey released forcing VR players into a cinema screen) but I am tempted to have a look and see if the fuss is worth it.
