Hey all, been pretty quiet around here recently. iRacing's season 4 kicks off next week. Season 4 has brought us updated rescans of Zolder and Spa, a new BMW M4 GT4 (finally) and a McLaren 720 GT3 (not yet released at time of posting - iRacing said it's still pending final review from McLaren).

I'm thinking of putting up some hosted sessions Thursday/Friday night (thinking 7pm EDT/4pm PDT). If you have a preference on car, let me know, I'm down to put a mish-mash of cars on track together if you want to try a specific car. I think we're up to 13 different cars in a session now?

Does anyone have any plans for the season? Looking to run a full season? A part-time season? Just racing here and there?

Series I'm focusing on;
IMSA Vintage - Thursdays/Fridays Afternoon/Evening
Super Formula Lights - Thursday/Friday Night?

When the full iRacing schedule releases, I'll make a list for Nürburgring races here and on Discord!

I will probably be picking up the new McLaren GT3 (once McLaren reads their urgent unread mail from iRacing :p ) but otherwise mainly continue racing the IMSA Vintage series. Perhaps have a little glance at the Lotus 49 schedule to see if there are any good tracks to try it out on, if I have time.

Other than that I will likely do the remaining NEC races in the PCup, and there is of course the Bathurst 1000 somewhere in October.

Can't make the practice pals sessions unfortunately.

I've mostly been running oval stuff lately. I also work afternoon shift so I don't even jump on the service until 11:20pm EST or so during the week.

Hey Jes! I work weekend nights, so sometimes I don't wake up until 6-7pm EDT. What series have you doing on oval?

After a little iRacing sabbatical, I've been slowly reintegrating myself with some GT4. I've just picked up the new macca GT3 tho, and plan on giving it a whirl at some point tonight. Depending on my progress I might look to do some GT4, Porsche cup and hopefully get back into GT3 this season. I'll try to make it for practice pals

I bought the new McLaren as well. I took it for a spin at SPA. Really has great visibility and very good turn in. I was just using iRacing Medium downforce setting and could match my time in the Ferrari after just a couple of laps. You do have to avoid rough rumble strips and definitely gravel, but otherwise, seemed stable. Tried at the Nord on the VLN config as well. Handled the curbs better than I expected, although I was driving more conservative than the Merc. Preliminarily, I think it could be a great option in GT3, perhaps more fun than the Ferrari but way better visibility and turn in than the Merc.
