Well this looks promising! I never played BF1943 so this will be my first experience with AS, but I like the concept. Except that there will be about a dozen level 100 jet pros who will blast the rest of us out of the sky.

Unbelievable, leave it to EA to completely screw up the next DLC Aftermath is the first DLC where there are NO airborne rape maps and probably the reason it's the all around best DLC as of yet.

Jets are so OP in BF3 that the only way they can be taken down is by another Jet Pilot (for the most part). Helicopters are completely useless and ineffective against jets because there lockon weaponry simply can't track a fast moving jet nor lockon quick enough to defend themselves.

EA/Dice need to make it so jets cannot crawl through the air like they do now and stay airborne. Hopefully they drastically up the stall speed on jets, otherwise this DLC is a complete waste of money IMHO.

I think you are misreading the announcement - Air Superiority will be similar to Coral Sea in BF42; from what we've seen jets will play a fairly small (if any) role in CQ and CTF.

The new trailers from today (http://blogs.battlefield.com/2013/01/end-game-first-look/) look faiely promising tbh, although I am not a huge fan of CTF as it is often very static.

My point exactly. This time it will be a separate gamemode just for jets, while the maps will still offer standard CQ (as well as CTF) modes which do not seem to have jets (judging by the trailers) or at least in a very limited capacity.

I would pay to see this. Against a good jet pilot you don't have a chance. One good jet pilot can literally shut down a map.

Combine a good jet pilot and a good attack heli pilot and you're team will be flag-less and camped inside of 100 tickets.

How can you tell I hate jets? I think between them and the AC-130, they pretty much ruined tank gameplay which is what I enjoy the most. I know the AC-130 has been nerfed but it's a case of too little, too late.

I still think the stall speed should be much higher on jets and the recovery from stall speed should take longer as you can just fall in from ceiling and kill a tank in one strafe.

Thank God for IFV's, they still seem to be pretty effective since there very mobile by comparison.
