I'm actually considering buying another copy of Frozen Synapse so that I have one (or two) accounts to give away to friends or other interested. The new DLC released for it yesterday also allows coop play against the AI (both through the campaign and in single missions) that sounds pretty interesting. The demo should give you a real feel for what the gameplay will be though. The other modes are just that...modes (and of course you'll play against humans that will make it som much more fun).
I've tried to play as much Diablo3 as I possibly could the last days and finished the demo/preview with the magician-type.
I'm sorry to say that the game doesn't grip me like Path of Exile or Torchlight does, I'm just finding myself slightly bored with it after a short while. The final drop was when I fought the first boss (the skeleton king or something) and the way to fight was just to grind grind and grind some more at him until his hitpoints went to zero, which took a looong time, long after the fight was interesting (which it was for the first few seconds until I figured him out).
Another thing that draws me away from it is that I really do not want to go through that whole story and the pre-defined path of the start again. To me it seems the starting missions and the setting around it is a bit too narrow for me to enjoy going through again and again (and that is what I want from a dungeon-slasher like this). I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed. I hoped Diablo3 should be more from the start (I know the demo isn't the entire game, but it IS what Blizzard thinks is enough to tempt us).
After that I decided to jump in and buy Torchlight2 (the pre-order thing, which included the original Torchlight). And now I'm having a really good time in Torchlight. It suits me better since the maps are randomized from the start and you have a slight variation in enemies that actually act different and gives you different challenges.
Now I'm really looking forward to the release of Torchlight2 and I hope someone else here also plans to buy it
