Audi R8 LMS coming to iRacing

This is secondhand info so take it how you will:

Was there yesterday, talked with many staff members including Tony, those guys are awesome! Steve is really funny!

Acc. Tony the Nurb should be released fully in around 5-6 weeks. Next car is the F1, after that the GT3's.

Cool, did he say something about the FR's ? After the GT3's I guess

Nobody bothered to ask about the Renaults at the Q&A that Steve did live on stage since it is all GT3 until the start of the Blancpain series (he confirmed that the Aston GT3 "will come later"). With that being half a year away their plans will get turned upside down again probably when signing another "important" GT3 car, so ...
Sounds like Aston Martin is getting pushed quite a bit (fine by me but some people might be upset) and it sounds like both the Mercedes and Audi will be released together in S2.

Some updates as to the upcoming developments in iRacing, per Tony Gardner:

Shooting for the new McLaren F1 car in December build in just about 3 weeks complete with DRS and Overtake. Complicated but cool car! Also working on having multiple tires like the real world. Not sure that part will be in build.

The Renault 2.0, Audi and Mercedes GT3 are all in full production and would not be surprised if all 4 including the MX-5 in the march build. Aside from the MX-5, the Renault is the furthest along. The Audi right now is further along than the Mercedes.
The important stuff:
Blah blah blah The Audi GT3 is in full production and would not be surprised blah blah blah if it's in the march build. Blah blah blah The Audi right now is further along than the Mercedes.
WOW!

In addition to my update above, there's an absolutely awesome blog post about upcoming stuff here: http://www.iracing.com/the-seasons-end-and-half-life-3-confirmed/#comment-15670

Duke, you will find this interesting and very useful... though it's not ready for next season:
Ultimately it is our goal to also have multiple tire compounds available for the McLaren MP4-30 in a session and require the use of both.
Sounds like we may be able to force tire changes in the near future? Hopefully it is not limited to F1.

I know this isn't going to be the most popular opinion but I'd really love it if they could also work on bringing the 650S to Blancpain as the 12C is outdated.

I want the Mercedes simply because it's a pig and it sounds sick on track. If they can get the sound even somewhat close it will add so much in the way of immersion to the series.

I've been working on sound tweaks in my app.ini file and have the sound pretty close to balanced now. I'm really trying to make it so the other cars are audible over my own cars engine and it's a tricky balancing act to be sure.

The Audi sounds vastly different to the Mercedes with both sounding vastly different to the McLaren. Three of these cars in close proximity would sound amazing.

...even more so if they could get the Aston in there at the same time.

Oh and btw, the new Lamborghini wouldn't be bad either, it's sick looking!

Nice about the sounds. I can't wait to hear all of them on the track.

I agree on the lambo. But I'm in no rush to see an updated McLaren. I'd rather see the new BMW first (man that thing is so beautiful... F the Z4), not to mention a Ferrari (though that is extremely doubtful), new cadillac (I'm sure it will be in Blancpain next year) and the Nissan.
