B2O S4R3 Blancpain League Race: Friday night Sept 30, 2016

Race 3 in the Band of Others Blancpain Sprint Series for iRacing sees us at the least annoying layout Donnington has to offer, National.

Drivers take the right chicken instead of the combination left chicken/straight/hairpin/straight/hairpin nonsense of the GP Circuit.

If you like Mid-Ohio think the adult version of it and add some speed along with a plane that continually takes off but seemingly goes nowhere.

Fun layout and given the precious few real passing opportunities it should make for some close racing.

Open Qualify Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour. Participants are required to put down a reasonable time (within 3 seconds of the leader) to qualify for the Q-race. If any less than 3 laps are put down, or the driver is not within 3 seconds of the leader, he/she will be put at the back of the grid.

Qualify Race starts at 8:30 PM EST spanning 40 minutes of practice and finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race, gridded per the open qualify session prior.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minutes warmup and a 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

I wont be able to make it tonight, I am working tomorrow. Main race will be starting about time I am going to bed, 4am comes WAY to early......lol

I might be out next week too, Friday is my parents 50 year anniversary and I am not sure if were doing something for them on Friday or Saturday.

After being chased non-stop for 20 minutes by a certain black and blue TRON Mercenary ... Playing kiekaboo every lap letting me know he was looking for a pounce ...This happens when u loose your line for a few inches and put the edge of the tire on a higher curb. U get pounded by alien species from another world. One single hickup for a fraction of a second and its all over kid.
Ladies and gentlemen, i give u Noodleguitar. Giving it the full beans on exit of the chicane. Off coarse we both knew he had it in the pocket but i somehow could not accept it, until i lost the draft after just ... turn 1. I think he switched on the nitro boost not to catch me, but to leave me behind in his dust.

Hehe, good race indeed. You drove very consistent until that slight mistake, I couldn't find any good way to pass without a massive divebomb.
