Coming this June first to PlayStation 3, Close Quarters focuses on tight infantry battles with smaller maps and includes 10 more weapons.

The third expansion is called Armored Kill. DICE says its all about the vehicle experiences and it has the largest multiplayer map the developer has ever created.

The final expansion reveled is called End Game, but DICE is not talking about it at all right now. Pricing detailes for these expansions were not announced.

I don't know why, but I'm totally not interested to play BF3 atm. I don't think the DLCs will change that.

I'll see what they're like but BF was always about vehicals and COD was infantry only. Maybe they should stick to that.

I'm actually excited about the Close Quarters Expansion Pack because I find the infantry fighting on some of these maps to be among the best I've ever played in any game. I really enjoy the infantry battles in Grand Bazaar, Sharqi Peninsula and the more I play it; Seine Crossing.

These are some of the best maps in that you cannot at any time get completely raped by air vehicles or vehicles of any kind for that matter. Most of the other open air or wide open maps can be dominated by a few good pilots in jets and helos and turn into a spawn camping extravaganza.

I think what would also help these larger maps tremendously is better placement of the static AA Guns. I was really looking forward to Wake but the fact that there is no static AA means you can be cleaned out by a good heli team.

The other issue I've noticed with BF3 is the way it handles autobalancing or mishandles for lack of a better word. I have no problems with evening teams but a squad should never be broken up unless absolutely necessary to balance the teams.

There are still plenty of people on both sides that never think to join a squad and these people should be autobalanced regardless of how long they've been in the map. If this game is to encourage team play, they need to protect squads, not split them up.

Also, rank stacking happens a lot and as the game ages I'm willing to bet it becomes a real issue. If BF3 is to properly balance sides based off rank, it should again autobalance those not in squads first and only if necessary, move complete squads rather than split them up.

If it could address issues like this and fix the between map crashing that some of us still experience regularly then the game would be pretty much perfect, in my eyes anyway.

Duke, have you seen how small these maps are? And they are 16 players max apparently.

I almost always run on foot, but I want a map like GB or Seine, not a smaller Metro.

Still, I'll probably buy it, then bitch when I get owned.

Oh wow, I never knew they were that small. I was expecting maps like Grand Bazaar and Seine, not fighting on either side of a postage stamp.
