Yeah, I know I'm a BMW guy, but given the whole line-up, I think BMW's is the nicest looking. A good balance between good looks and standing out.

Here are pictures of the upcoming 2023 GTP field as of July 2022.

I think the Peugeot is the next best looking one. It's definitely the most unique, running a wingles design, and even the front is very unique. It might be deserving of Best Looking, I think it comes down to how you feel about that front-end.

The others feel a bit more... generic? I mean, Acura and Toyota are just an evolution of their 2022 cars. The Acura IS unique and recognizable because of it's bi-plane front-end design, but it's not the same "new and different" to me. The Glickenhaus and Toyota are, again, already on track, though there is something about the Glickenhause that, I think, makes it look a bit old-school. A throwback to maybe 70's prototypes? I think it's the aggressive swooping wheel-arches, especially at the back. Everyone else has tried to smooth up that transition from leading to the rear wheels, but Glickenhause gave that a big middle-finger and put in an airscoop that takes the wheel-arch all the way down to the skirt.

Cadillac, Porsche, and the Ferrari (updated renders released this week) feel kind of bland, to me. If you take the livery off, I think, it'd be tough to look at them and say "...thats a Porsche/Ferrari/Caddy...". I'll be curious to see if Glickenhaus and Toyota stick with the large headlights next year, or switch to the same stick-LED's almost everyone else is running (Porsche is at least different in that regard, running four blocky-er(?) LED sticks.. the only real unique feature in their otherwise bland-ass front-end.)

The Vanwall does look nice, but I'm a little confused because it says it's ruleset is "LMH" and the sticker kn the car says "Hypercar" but it's powertrain is listed as "V8-Turbo (No Hybrid)". Although now I also see the same thing for Glickenhaus, so I guess **I** misunderstood the "Hypercar" thing. I assumed "Hyper" and "Hybrid" were synonymous, but it looks like "LMH" is non-hybrid hypercars while the "LMDh" IS hybrid.. see, lower-case "h" clearly puts the emphasis on "hybrid"..... blah, whatever, thanks FIA... GTPFTW!!!! Anyways, back to the Vanwall, there are legal issues surrounding the naming of it, and history says that legal issues going INTO a season, particularly a debut season and especially as a privateer team, just doesn't bode well for a proper campaign.. so I like their car, I wish them all the best, but I'm not going to be shocked if they don't make it to the U.S. or even a full WEC season..

I hope both WEC and IMSA programs do well, though. Looks like a lot of exciting cars, and Alpine and Lamborghini are in the works to join in 2024, so the car counts could he extremely impressive for modern top-class prototype racing, and I think thats a big deal. Especially in the U.S., where we've been spoiled by so many prototype teams, and there was genuine concern over this becoming Le Mans of the 2010's. 4-9 cars coming from 2, maybe 3, manufacturers dueling it out... is fun at Le Mans... but 15+ cars coming from 9-10 different manufacturers is quite the effort!
