For those of you experiencing DCS Updater Can't Copy errors such as myself there is a way to fix it.
Apparently DCS Updater can be corrupted by antivirus or firewall software which can cause this issue.
After trying all the suggestions and failing at EDForums the fix that worked on the very first try for me was as follows:

- Go to http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/
- Download DCS_updater_64bit.zip
- Run the DCS_updater.exe from the zip file.
