FH1 - BF1942.exe has stopped working

OK...does anyone know the fix for this. This will happen when playing either FH1 or BF1942 and one it starts, it doesn't stop till I reboot. Then it will still just happen. Sometimes I just need to not play or a few hours then I can play again. I'm running Win7-64, anti-virus is disabled. I set the video.con, everything I've read online doesn't seem to work. Anybody have any ideas?

Err. i had this issue before on my retail version. once i reinstalled the Origin version and ran the win 7 compatibility patch it seemed fixed for me.
