Gents whats the status of COD now the new patch is out....

I know Wotan and some off you Gents have testet COD with its new patch, what is the status of the game now is it playabel? and is it playable for get the squad up in the air

We were aiming to do a test with it. It has been substantially improved, however that being said, it still has some broken comms for AI which is disturbing. The lack of campaigns and missions is frustrating and is probably because the community has stayed away from it other than online fights with only humans.

There is however a very powerful FMB in CoD and if one has the Desastersoft addons they could possibly turn into coop campaigns.

The performance are better but still has some bugs. I do feel it's time to revisit and fly a squad night with it.

And what about ATAG server hear that they script mission on it and how dos that work exactely regarding optionf for running squad nights on ATAG server maybee.......?

I really can't say! I'm very ambivalent to this sim. For instance, right now I have a graphical problem that came from nowhere. All yellow colors have gone bright light blue!!!

Highly annoying and there is nothing I can do to get yellow back.

My suggestion is that we focus on RoF and DCS World together with old 1946 with HSFX to fly! Rise of Flight is marvelous and DCS is also very good however has a VERY steep learning curve as it's all modern avionics and to fly it one need to know the buttons.

RoF is a very good sim in it's own right, but to me it is far to dogfight oriented and doesn't offer the same "you're in the world"-experience as 1946 does. However it is very fun flying together in the old kites

DCS World will have to grow a WWII branch before I can manage to learn something new. Modern aircrafts have way too many buttons to push and stuff to learn that I can hope to learn with my llimited time. I would love to fly them all of course

1946, with HSFX, will be the easiest common ground for us but it IS old and it begins to show. I haven't installed the HSFX mod yet. Could you post a link to the latest version HaJa? I'll try to install it this weekend - just in case...
