Yeah, i'll probably get scammed again....
Anyway, the steering wheel is bought for Elite: Dangerous as i want to be a spacetrucker.

For iRacing i use 2 Atari joysticks which have been "overhauled" to work flawlessly on Windoze. However it seems the amount of travel on the joysticks is a bit below the suggestions made by iRacing so i had to kind of cheat my way by manually enlarging their range in a .ini file.

Haha. Don't forget your 14+ gear shifter for space trucking then! Preferably with a red button for FSD activation on the top of the shifter.

Did you search for products, when buying your wheel, that are compatible with Windoze? Perhaps that is how you got scammed? :lol:

Did a few "test" laps with the Roadster and the Caddy (Eargasm) and boy the difference is immense between the two.

I'm having a hard time keeping the caddy under control, but the Mazda almost handles like my own Honda.

And with the FFB another world opened up for me, i wouldn't believe it was really that good if i hadn't tried it myself

There are some good guides to setting up FFB on the iRacing forums if you need. We shall be running some low end races so we can get you up to license level (at least C, probably B).

Do you have an idea of what cars you want to end up driving?

Yeah, one with a flappy paddle gearbox, if i shift and use the clutch in the Mazda it sounds like am firing a 105 howitzer on the roof of my house.

I did get some of these cotton pads you can stick under your table/chair legs to prevent scratching.
I'll try and see if i can stick one on the clutch pedal where it hits the housing when i release it...

Otherwise i'd be stuck playing during office hours only, to prevent people from waking up

Anyway, i'll have to check what cars are actually in there.
I did see most of the cars you guys drive and that seems like it would work for me in the end.

I think one of the best cars to set you up skill wise, and is still fun to drive is the C-spec RUF (Porsche). Might be one of the first purchases you want to make. It also includes two other version of the RUF, one that is not used, and one that is the GT3 version.

The C-Spec is a great springboard to other cars, as it takes some skill to master the throttle and handling, which will help you transition into cars like the V8SC, Corvette, Mustang, etc. It's slower than the GT3 version and the other cars I just listed, but it basically uses "street tires" and less racey stuff that makes it tricky to master. The C-Spec is used in the RUF-Cup, which is a C license series (you'll need a D 4.0+ in order to do anything other than practice)

Plus as I said, you get the GT3 version for free. Not my favorite car on the service, but I can't deny how fun the C-spec is, nor how utilitarian it is.

No I saw the annoucement on the iRacing homepage, in the news, and I knew right away since it was a generic announcement that made you click it to see it. Still the forums blew up with people getting pissed off, was really funny to read them.
