Hey guys!

Tonights B2O Blancpain Sprint Series GT3 League is scheduled to take place at Donington Park Racing Circuit in Leicestershire, England! The 'Grand Prix' layout used by the official iRacing Blancpain Sprint Series this week is 2.5 miles (4km) in length and features 12 turns!

The B2O Blancpain League attempts to follow the official iRacing series schedule as close as possible to allow an easy transition from the official series into our league. However, for the remainder of the season, a poll will be included in these posts asking for your opinion on the track for each round for two reasons;
  1. We missed out on two rounds earlier in the season, Phillip Island and Interlagos, due to the holidays. Because of the popularity of the tracks skipped, we discussed adding them in at a later date, and so each week the option will be given to the community.
  2. Due to the small size of the league, we offer the opportunity to run a smaller configuration of the track (when availible) to try to keep the pack as close as possible and prevent races from turning into 20/50 minute hot lap sessions. This has created some good results in the past, around some of iRacing's less used configurations.
These options will always be provided to the community, but the option to run the official iRacing BSS track of that week will always be the top/default setting unless it is decided
otherwise on this thread!.

Open Qualify Session: Full Fuel - 7:30 PM EST (60 minutes). Drivers must record a clean lap within 103% of the fastest recorded lap time. Those who cannot do so are placed at the tail end of the field for the Qualify Race.

Qualify Race:
Full Fuel - 8:30 PM EST (30 minutes - 10 minute Warm Up + 20 minute Sprint Race). "Opt In" Inverse Grid based off results from Open Qualifier. Drivers outside of the 103% rule are automatically placed at the tail end of the field.

Main Race: Full Fuel - 9:10 PM EST (60 minutes - 10 minute Warm Up + 50 minute Race). Grid is set by results from Qualify Race. One Pit Stop is required for tires only at the 25 minute mark.

Pit Window is only 5 minutes in duration.

Open Setups:

If you have a good setup please post it here.

If you are unwilling or unable to share your setup with other League Drivers then you are not permitted to use it during League events.

d00d I can't pick between Philip Island and Interlagos, there both just too awesome for me to decide.

Donnington, one or the other. I've got zero practice on Interlagos or Phillip Island, and would just have to bow out if those were the choices. Feel like maybe this should have been chosen earlier in the week if everyone hated Donnington, so us slow ass noobs could have gotten practice in :(

We typically do this on the fly prior to setting up sessions on Friday.

Historically when we ask earlier people vote for one thing and then don't show up on Friday.

It's better to do it with people in Session.

Having said that, we'd never choose a track combination that would leave a League Driver out in the cold.

That's fair, I just won't drive a track I've had zero practice on, for the good of everyone around me. That's my only concern. Interlagos I could probably fumble my way around, Phillip Island I'd need a bunch of laps just to feel comfy. Now that I know you love them so much Ken, I'll make it a point to learn them since they will probably come up a bunch ;)

This isn't about hating Donnington, its more about the love everyone has for the tracks we missed earlier in the season. This is something we discussed early in the season, but this is exactly why we put it to a vote. We want to hear from you, and if you're not comfortable with a track change, we totally understand, just vote accordingly! :)

Trust me it doesn't matter what I like; nobody around here really cares lol.

...and if they do they don't seem to show it.

I need a hug

All joking aside though I exercise 0 autonomy around here with the exception of Website stuff. Everyone here has as much say as I do so I always yield to the voice of many.

For example I've been trying to get rid of Marc for ages but for some reason he keeps coming back. If I got rid of him then people would be all over me (well probably nobody would really notice, let's be honest) so like it or not I'm stuck with the douche.

I may be a bit late (hopefully not) but if I'm not around by 7:15 PM EST can someone else setup the Open Qualifier?

The reason is it's snowing here and people in Vancouver are fucking useless when it comes to snow (and rain which you think they'd be used to by now) so it may add a good 15+ minutes to my drive time.

I should be fine but just a heads up in case I'm not there on time tonight.

It's freezing rain here, and the city is shut down. Out of the 200 people that work in my office, maybe 30 of us are here.

Enjoying a nice little after work beverage now paired with some tasty tunes on the stereo, but will see you all at 7:30.

Much better race from me this week. I wasn't trying to push as hard, drove more within myself. I made a couple of mistakes, but the only one that got anyone else in trouble was my bit of over-braking at pit entrance. Sorry Nejtun :(

That makes two of us with a bit overzealous slow down at pit entrance :) Sorry about that Duke.........

Don't worry about that Matt, It is totally on me to read what is happening in front of me, I could have slowed down a lot more, I come into the pits right on the edge as fast as the speed limit will allow (begging for a speeding penalty) which means if the person in front of me does not then rear ending them is the only outcome.

I should have been paying more attention so sorry for that.

Good racing from everyone anyway :) I might have to adjust how much of it I do going forwards, If I have to get up early on a Friday morning I may just do the 50 minute qually and the 20 minute qually race as I was so tired halfway through the main race I had to pull off the circuit anyway, by that point I was dropping almost 3 seconds a lap (a bit much around a 1:05 circuit!) and I would rather not spoil someone elses race because I am making bad decisions (I had been up around 20 hours at that point :p )

Doesn't mean I cant watch the main race though :)
