Is this real or a phishing scam?

ArenaNet (noreply@guildwars2.com) Greetings!

It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal Guild Wars account(s). As you may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement. If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be ongoing for further investigation by ArenaNet Entertainment's employees. If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account ownership.

You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account to this secure website with:

I'm not trying to sell my account so if this is real something is mixed up somewhere. I've got similar emails in the past regarding AION & I don't even own that game.

Sounds phishy to me. I'd get on the horn to them rather then replying to that email.

its a scam they are getting very good at doing this. anet has a forum post about this. best thing to do log in a check if account is banned or not. You can check the link by just hovering over it and seeing what pops up too.

definately scam, since the link will take you to http://account.guildwars2.com.avmx.co.vu/ which is not the guildwarssite. I also got this mail and I dont even have gw2...

If you have to even ask the question then it's a scam. I get shit like this all the time from "Paypal" even though it's completely against E-Bay Policy.

Usually what I do is forward the e-mails directly to PayPal (or what have you) and alert them to the issue.

The URL actually looks real apart from when you actually look at it properly and it goes to a an address registered to the Republic of Vanuatu! Also the ArenaNet name is wrong, its not Entertainment at the end, its Inc. and NCsoft investigates player accounts being sold.

I get that email all of the time and I don't have, nor have ever had GW2.
