Kamel GT Series Official

Hi gang!

The Kamel GT 500km at Road America is looming every closer and in preparation for this I am going to participate in this seasons Kamel GT official series.

Someone on iRacing forums has gotten things all organised and there are 4 time-slots that actually go official!

The following are the week's strength of field (SOF) races, and the Saturday one is even broadcast so the numbers should be pretty good!

I can probably make most if not all of these races so will be jumping into Teamspeak about an hour before each one goes live and would love it if any of you would like to join in and hopefully have some fun and get used to the cars in time for Road America.

The two cars in this series are:

Nissan GTP ZX Turbo

a 3 litre turbo charged monster kicking out around 800 hp and more down-force than you can shake a stick at!

AUDI 90 GTO

a 700! hp 2.2 litre turbo charged 4WD animal!

I will be driving the Audi 90 ( the Nissan scares the poop out of me )
but feel free to jump into whichever one suits you best!

I have taken an Audi setup for the iRacing forums and tweaked it a little to make it a bit less understeery. I will put this in Teamspeak if you are using the Audi.

Nice ! Set up is attached, anymore people into this ?
I don't think these split either so should all be able to race together I hope !

Would be nice If a couple of people could represent in the Nissan as well!

I am in for this, although I could really only do Friday...

I am torn though..

...researching throw-back 1989 schemes are REALLY fun... #HypermartUSA

I will be trying to do all 4 so if everyone can't make them one in particular we can at least have 2 or more in any one of them.

Don't forget about pre-selection in the Audi gearbox. Saves me a ton of missed shifts.

These races are insane! you do of course need a decent sized field as yesterday we were all 7 Audi's bunched up for most of the race but when the very fast guys zipped off down the road I was alone pulling away from the guys behind me and watching the first two guys get further away the races can hold 40 !! so lets hope for better numbers in the 17:00 GMT Friday race.

Yesterday was "just " enough to make it exciting so it can only get better
I think there were around 15 Nissans for the fist one which for my opening race of the season was plenty to be watching out for
