A game I've followed for a long time, KSP is just plain awesome. A realistic yet cartoony take to running your own space program is both fun and challenging. The game has been available for quite some time now but only just officially launched a couple weeks ago.

I could not find a thread for it here, so I apologize if there is in fact one. Anyway it has launched with dozens of new features, on top of an already EXTREMELY entertaining game.

Do not let the cartoony graphics approach throw you off. This is realistic in its approach in just about every way, from orbital mechanics to landing, fuel usage and everything else a NASA engineer would love.

I've played this on and off for at least a year, and even back then, before they even added achievements, the game is extremely fun. In the past few months they'd finally gotten around to adding a much-needed "career mode" so that you must use government contracts to earn money and research to unlock better technology to do more and go further. So for the first dozen missions you are tasked to only break the stratosphere, eventually getting to orbital missions, then lunar landing missions, and further out.

With release, they've added a huge mining aspect to the game, so you can land on planetary bodies or asteroids and bring back ore, or use to turn into fuel.

If you've not looked into this game before, DO IT! If you are into making and flying rockets, this is the game for you. I promise you, you will not regret it.

I agree. Mods or die.

So far though I'm incredibly impressed with career mode. The progression through the tech tree and advances in your program are awesome. The addition of government and misc contracts to do certain things is set up perfectly. A ton of fun!

I have over 1,000 hours in this game. Burned out doesn't begin to explain how I feel about this game haha, but I managed to put another 40 hours in recently and enjoy the updates they've been doing.
