Max Payne 3 Visual Effects and Cinematics

It looks like Rockstar Games has turned it up a few notches in Max Payne 3. The cinematographic presentation and gritty feel are still very much alive but it appears as if Rockstar has opened up the world a bit in Max Payne 3.

Also, the addition of destructible cover and integrated forward moving videos is also a very welcome addition. The FMV's are particularly interesting in that they help drive the story forward without ever subjecting the player to a loading screen.

I was considering buying this one, but with around 12 hours the SP is a bit on the short side. I guess I'll wait a bit...

I like the Max Payne series but the last two Rock Stars ports to the PC I have bought have been crap. I can barely get GTA4 to run and LA Noire won't even install.

GTA4 is just a resource heavy pig and it takes a beast to have it run smooth and look pretty, never tried LA Noire.

I do have a new PC now so I'm not sure how resource intensive Max Payne3 is but it sure looks pretty and plays awesome. It is easily the best of the 3 games from a play standpoint however where it stands I still think Max Payne had the best and most engaging overall story.

I love the fact that you finally have to think about how to use bullet time. Previously it was a "get out of danger free card", not so anymore. This is especially true if you're shoot dodging and Max ends up on the ground because he's a sitting duck.
