Mid-2019 Nejtun expressed interest in doing some oval racing, specifically short track oval racing, and wanted to give the Tour Modifieds a try on iRacing. Last night, Matt asked what car would be best to get through D-License and Irecommend these cars to him, as I would to anyone! They're light, they're fast, they have crazy wide tyres with tons of mechanical grip. They're a licensed NASCAR feeder-series, but they're great door-openers to open-wheel oval racing like Sprint Cars, Silver Crown, and Indycar.
So what are these things, and how did they come to look so unique?
Today, S1apSh0es on Youtube released a really nice video giving the basic history of NASCAR's oldest series...
If anything about these cars interests you, I'd love to do some races in this car!
S1ap does really great content on NASCAR history and where the sport is today. I'd also recommend watching a few of his other videos, including;
The Worst NASCAR Race Ever: The 1969 Talladega 500
The Absolute BRILLIANCE of NASCAR Marketing in the 90's
