NVIDIA Driver Update improves Skyrim performance

Depending on your series of NVIDIA based graphics card, you may see an increase of up to 20% with the new 290.53 Beta Drivers.

Most of the gains are for Indoor areas in Skyrim but even outdoor increases however the gains are much lower.

I've actually tried these drivers and they seem to have improved Battlefield 3 but actually hurt Skyrim. I have a lot more hiccuping now than ever before in Skyrim so I had to turn down some settings a bit to smooth things out.

The other thing I noticed is that everything just looks blurrier than before in Skyrim and that was prior to lowering my video settings.

If you have a GTX460, you may want to hold off until NVIDIA releases a new driver that is not a BETA.
