Question on iRacing replays

I don't watch all my driving replays, but in the last several months I have noticed that when I either want to watch the beginning of a race before I hit the "quit" button, or save the replay and then watch it, I cannot watch the first 3-8 laps. Is there a setting that has changed? I have lots of memory on this PC, it's sim only.

Yes, there is a toggle setting called "Replay spooling", which will automatically save the active replay to disk when the sim is running. You need to turn that on to be able to rewind regardless of how long the race is.
