Sound cards / sound question

I currently use my headset the majority of the time for gaming. I do have a 2.1 set up but rarely use it. To use it, I have to plug it in to the headphone jack and unplug it when I want to go back to the headset.

Is there any easy way to keep them both plugged in but switch back and forth? I'm not a sound guru like some of you, both hardware and software-wise so there probably is a super easy setting I can change but I don't know of it.

Thanks I figured it out. I'm a dummy. I could already plug them both in at the same time. I have to use windows sound mixer to switch between playback devices.
