Star Citizen has a Mining ship.

I've been holding off on posting anything Star Citizen related because its nowhere near being a complete game yet but i just Had to post about the newly unveiled mining ship , the Orion .
This thing is a literal Beast , looks wise it beats the snot out of anything i have seen floating around in EvE , and EvE has some seriously cool looking industrial ships.
Have a gander over >here< and commence drooling .

It requires six players (yes , you read that right , it needs a crew of 6 actual players) to operate efficiently !!
It has a massive rock crusher on the front end , it launches drones , its fully animated (the mid section has 3 spinning cargo container rings ) and it looks just absolutely stunning (imho) .

I'm reconsidering my previous plans of going the explorer route and splitting it into explorer/miner just so i can get my grubby mits on this beast

I knew someone was going to fall over that (one of the other reasons i was hesitant to post about SC).
Buying the ships now is just one of the ways you can back/support the development of the game , all ships are going to be available in the game and can be acquired through normal ingame means .
There will be no ingame store , as stated by Chris Roberts himself .

Having said that , i do agree the prices for some packages are quite steep .
But ,you don't have to purchase the expensive packs , there are packs for 30 euro's too .
You can also wait for release and get all the ships then without spending a single dime more then the initial purchase fee .

I do apologize for the rant , i can get a little defensive when it comes to SC and the scam debate .
But i, and many more with me, have a lot of confidence in this project and the development team.
