I just logged back in and I lost about an hour of work I did yesterday - my whole safety stuff is missing, no college or trainstation etc.

WTF.

Whenever that happens I logout and come back an hour or so later only to find what was missing back again.

I also tried a speed test last night when playing and ran on the second speed (Llama?) for a while then switched back to slow speed before signing off. In my tests it appears as if everything saved but it's hard to say whether or not this is a dependable solution as it does not address the intermittent crashing we all experience.

Just to be safe I'd suggest you switch it up regularly between speeds and try not to stay in the higher speeds for too long. A few hiccups aside yesterday, most of us experienced very few issues and I'm betting that's due to the speed we were playing at, not just a good day at EA.

Well that city I started I can't get back into. It either forces me out with sync problems or wants me to roll it back. Tried about 10 times to play it again but its well and truly not working.

One of my cities on tardville 2 is also broken and the one that I can use seems to be OK but I can't claim any other cities on that map. What a totally broken game.

Anyway, I know one thing for sure - my road layout sucks, and if I want to fix that I have to basically tear everything down as I only placed streets and no avenues.

Question - what happens to buildings like a school if I demolish the road next to it? Will it be rebuilt, will it just be gone, will I get any money back?

I think if you demolish a road with a placed building on it that building will be lost, no refund etc.

You've got to really plan ahead in this regard, or have a lot of disposable income!

That sucks about your city Mondo, the one I've got next to you is the first profitable city I've managed to make! Try again maybe?

I'll give it another shot tomorrow but all but 1 city of all the cities I've ever made has been lost to a roll back or sync problem. Even that one we made the other day has two broken cities on it now. Getting extremely annoyed with this.

The 2.0 update is imminent according to the devs, and one of the fixes is the sync/rollback issue, so keep the stiff upper lip Mondo

It doesn't matter because it won't fix cities that already have the issue.

I keep getting this sync issue as well and it's a major pain in the @ss.
