The future is bright!

It looked bleak for a long time where I had to deal with 5/1Mb at the most. That would surely kill off any means of hosting anything since no one could deliver good lines to the apperant wilderness I'm now living in

But now I've just ordered a new, stronger, faster, meaner line to the internets from my new house. I'll start with 25/25Mb to see if this is enough power for our arma events and flightnights. If not I can easily upgrade to 50/50 (which I may do anyways) or even more.This means I'm ready to host anything again once settled.
ETA is 3 to 5 weeks.

Rejoice! There will be fun had in the future as well!

The whole "getting connected to Internet"-thing almost turned into a nightmare as ISP after ISP told me they didn't deliver anything close to "broadband" in this area.
When the solution suddenly came from the ISP I had least expectations for I just had to post my relief here

Actually, it was
I settled with a so-so ISP that already had delivered lines to 'everyone' around my area and they had all I needed. But when I actually called to order they said that just to my house and my neighbour they didn't deliver anything other than TV signals. That's when the nightmare started

Sure we could do some events on a Fri-Sun-Sat-day. We have had special events earlier that have worked out quite well. If this becomes a more permanent thing then of course we can change our event/flightnight days to a more suitable day. The more the merrier, as always

Well I'm pretty sure I have all the requirements for ArmA but not for IL2 or COD.

Do I want to look at re-installing IL2 then?

COD I'll pick up when it goes on sale.

At the time I only have Arma2 and COD installed (of those you mentioned).
We still have more tests to do with COD before we decide to wait for new patches or drop it altogether.
Based on that the game we'll most likely play together first will be Arma2

If COD fails, I'm open to installing IL-2 again to get some flightnights going again.
If that happens you may want to install IL-2 again

Excellent! Now I only have to wait for my house to be ready enough to be called a dwelling and a somewhat decent line hooked to the internets and I'll be back in the game again!
