This video is not new, it's from May 2020, but it is after the addition of Dynamic LOD, which I believe was the last large graphics overhaul to iRacing.
Obviously, this video is very subjective. It's dependent on personal preference and user hardware. I mostly just thought it was interesting to me and wanted to comment on it, based on my general struggle for 60+ FPS on triples, and thought I'd put it in-case anyone else wanted to burn 30 minutes.
I think it's funny that he is using an i7-6950x, the $2000 cpu I was saving up for in 2016, and then passed up on to buy it's successor, the i9-7900x. Usually, however, the successor is an improvement, but he can run his 10-core CPU at 4.4 GHz, while I'm capped at 4.2-4.3 GHz. Also, he is running a 1080ti, while I'm running a Pascal Titan X. He is using 3x 1440p monitors (7560x1440), while I'm using 3x 1080p ultrawide monitors (7560x1080). He's using SimHub, Crew Chief, and RaceLabs and OBS to record. I'm using KAPPS and SLOBS to record. Pretty much, I can't see any reason I shouldn't be able to get these numbers with these settings.
I wish he would have shown the FPS counter, but he doesn't, even in other videos of his, so I'm just going to have to take his word for it.
Before testing, my guess is the fact he's using the Dynamic LOD settings is going to be a large part of how he is able to achieve 25-50% better FPS over me, but I'll see how it works out for me.
