iRacing goal #1 - get money so they can do what they love. Simulation Racing.
Goal #2 - create a community where everyone can race. This means swearing is frowned on by parents who's kids race. Hence, they are quick to ban on this offense so they don't alienate a paying segment.
Goal #3 - let the racers race. It's carb cup - you are going to see rookie and malicious mistakes. They are not going to ban driving in a rookie series unless it's MAJOR greifing. I imagine the banhammer get's a little more heavy in the higher series.
Bottom line guys - it's not about being fair. It's about building a customer base. When you look at it that way, their banhammer tactics seem to make a lot of sense.
But if you are looking for blind justice, and fair shake. It's not the point of banning people.
All in All - it's a great service, and if you can wrap your head around the fact that they have to pay the bills, and allow them a little leaway, you'll be much happier.
