What is auto or manual on 109F and 109G

I am not sure if i understand your question correctly but i'll try my best answering.

Auto simply means the plane/simulator controls all the settings by itself without human interference.

Manual means that you change everything by yourself without the sim interfering.

Rule of thumb for the Mixture was for every 1000meters of altitude you cut it by 10%.

... i ll have to check if i still have my notes for it.

The standard way of operation in the F/G was automatic mode where a "commandogeräte" operated pitch and rpm. Radiators where automatically operated via regulators. The backup was manual mode of pitch and radiators, that mode could also be used during warm-up and take-off but required monitoring in order not to over-rev the engine. The 109 had the advantage that coolers where placed in the propeller stream and thus wasn't as prone to overheating as the spit on ground.

This is typed after my morning coffee and without my books at hand so I might have put some errors in :D

In the game however the controls aren't fully configured and programmed yet so you cannot get complete control.
