i validated the game cache and its all good to go. after playing earlier and having crashes every 5 mins i quit and played something else. the geforce app alerted me that there was a new driver update and i let it install. I haven't tried it after that but i can almost guarantee that its still just going to crash again. I seriously doubt it has anything to do with my card or drivers and that it is all game updates related. Can't believe they haven't fixed it yet, really wish they would because at this point the game is COMPLETELY unplayable.
I totally understand your frustration here NL and feel for you. The problem is that for every guy like you there is at least one guy like me not experiencing issues of any kind.
If it was a cut and dry case of there being client wide issues then it would be easy to get to the bottom of but when so many of us are not having issues that work becomes more difficult.
I have read reference to 2 files having issues on the ED Forums so I'll investigate that a bit more.
Having said that, I'm personally not using any of the GeForce Experience stuff. All I have is PhysX, Display Drivers and I think that's it. Whether or not this has anything to do with anything I have no idea, just thought I'd mention it.
Lastly I can say without hesitation that I cannot launch ED in 64 Bit Mode at all. I can launch it in 32 Bit Mode but that's the only way.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with Horizons (my guess is it does) as owning Horizons means no need to launch ED Launch only Horizons Launch.
