Yea we did a late afternoon race for the 2nd race. It was much better with the cooler track. Kinda hoping we do the same thing with Okayama this week.

Starting to work through league marketing stuff for iRacing forums post - I photoshopped a screenshot I took earlier in this thread to produce something eyecatching to start with-

Here's one of Kyle and I at a League Race at Interlagos. We spent much of the race bumper to bumper so here's an image to capture it:

Image will be used as thumbnail on iRacing Video which should be up by the end of the week (assuming nothing happens in rendering).

Nice job Ken. Everyone here seems to have a great eye for photography and getting some good, interesting shots.

Thanks to everyone for the likes on my picture. I made a few breakthrough developments on a few things when photoshopping. A waterey cloud overlay I made instantly makes the car look more reflective and realistic. Adding real grass into the photo also makes it pop.

So since there are a few talented folks around here being all depth of field on their shots I thought I'd give it a go.

Four layers total with 3 layers being cropped, varying levels of blur. Not nearly as good as most of the stuff around her but I think it's ok for my first attempt.

DOF really adds a lot to the images. All around it is usually an improvement. A+

You're using photoshop, I might also recommend something I tried with the last screenshot above. Recently I've noticed the brighter, whiter tones are really muted in iRacing... for example, the Band of Others on your hood, or the Blancpain logo on top. In my last screenshot, I brightened these things and I think it looks a lot better. The Band of Others logo is a lot more clear and stands out which is a huge deal.

I use the dodge tool, with highlights selected in the options, to do this. I set the exposure to about 25-50% and go over the white areas on paints and such that need it, once or twice.

Look at how stupidly dark the whites are... on your hood and on Jeeve's BMW. Weather/setting might contribute as well but I've found it's not a one-time issue.

Sorry again, I never opened the PSD and I'm sure its an absolute mess. I've been building my templates completely different recently - actually building most of the stuff and lining it up in illustrator, then moving it into PSD to finish up sponsors and such. MUCH more effective for most of my designs.

Looks great! Except for the NASCAR-esque headlight sticker! But hey it's your paint I personally have always liked that headlight cover and what you could do with it.... it gives the V8SC their personal look. But don't listen to me, it's your paint. It looks great! I think the sun screen thing should say your name (like the back of the wing)

I didn't mean it in a bad way. My layers are all messy but they work for me. There are things I really liked that you did, such as the color overlay effect. That's a really good idea and I'll be borrowing that going forward. Makes changing colors SOOO much easier.

I'm still playing around with the paint but I don't want to deviate too much from the model just because it's not my paint. Everybody else runs a black paint and I just happen to like diversity in team paints so I wanted to drive a white car, you know. But I need to add my name to the rear wing and maybe on the front of the car as well; toss in a few sponsors that have some personal meaning to me and then I'll be done.

I can't run 2 Leagues Tony, I don't have near enough time available. As it is I may have to drop iRacing one day out of the week this October because it's monopolizing too much of my time.

We can promote it at iRacing stating Band of Others is populating this particular race session every Wednesday and invite people to join us in Teamspeak.

In fact I've been considering doing this at iRacing for the past few weeks as it stands.

I'd like to hear what the rest of you think though because this went from non-existence to what, 17 cars last night? It certainly looks like there's a need for it and it helps promote B2O.

You aren't even running one league, Ken.. Kyle is keeping the points and making the weekly forum posts...

All you'd have to do is upload your results to danlisa and boom, iRacing Official "league" done!

Can't wait for CL to sign up here at the forums! He'd be such a valuable asset to the community!
