iRacing eliminated 4x's on Dirt-Oval, so I imagine they will eliminate it on the Dirt-GRC side of things as well. Also, the carnage will be limited by their only being 6 cars on track at a time and the addition of heats. They should find a way to not stop the carnage you mean! Rallycross is most definitely a contact sport, how they translate this in to iRacing's SR is going to be.... interesting.
There was definitely a very telling lack of contact in that video![]()
I still can't get the image out of my head of Noël chasing the wipers back and forth like a dog in the front seat...Wipers!
Wow, that's really impressive. The dog actually knows how to turn them on.I still can't get the image out of my head of Noël chasing the wipers back and forth like a dog in the front seat...
Guess that will come with the new damage model which hopefully we'll get in S2 or something of next year. The bigger question is; how and/or will iRacing make a car that stands up to contact. So far, almost all of iRacing's cars are made of glass, and they just don't handle contact very well.
Tony Gardner said:The new damage model project is really coming along as well. There are just so many projects within the overall project to do. Dozens of those projects are done but still some things to do. It is great to see the cars working in the new system, taking realistic damage and parts coming off physically correct. It is a big step forward. We are paying attention to so many details. The finish line is starting to come into sight but it will not be this next software update. It will be done as soon as possible.
