Battlefield V Pre-load now available

Battlefield V Pre-load is now available through your Origin Client.

The game you pre-ordered is now available for pre-load. Head over to the "My Game Library" tab in the Origin client, and you can download and install it now. That way, you can start playing the second it launches.

The Beta was actually pretty good so I'm looking forward to this one. A lot of my Reddit friends also pre-ordered which also made it a no-brainer for me.

Pretty much everything actually. Some of the things I liked most were time to kill was good, gunplay was more skill based, planes were not OP, suppression is now local so it affects your vision but does equate to rng bullet spread, no behemoths, less campy due to limited ammo supply, etc.

I think Server Tickrate is also one of the best I've seen in a BF game upon launch in ever. Getting shot around corners isn't nearly as prolific as it's been in the past.

It's not perfect but certainly a number of steps have been taken to address some of the larger issues.

Interesting. I found it to be too chaotic, there was little strategy involved but just a mass of ever-respawning players rushing random points. Granted I didn't play much of all the game modes and I can see the one I played most being the worst, so it might be a bit of an exaggeration.

I also thought the supply was not a good design choice because everyone just spawns and then instead of running into combat they need to run to resupply first or else you're out after two clips. EA/DICE even acknowledged this issue and backed off a little. Ultimately anything that was automatic just wasn't fun in my opinion. It was certainly skewed towards semi-auto / bolt-action weapons with snipers being very powerful.

I had high hopes but ultimately decided to pass. I was really hoping it would end up being like an experience closer to BF3. It seems like though other games are trying to capitalize on that and make a true successor to BF3.

Yes to your first question. As far as I know all of the EA games are like that I think. The second, I am pretty sure that's a no.

Origin is required, but the game can be purchased as a one time purchase vs a monthly subscription fee for Origin. The latter option provides you access to other EA titles.....
