2014 Season 4 Schedules

From what I understand this is officially the (shortened) s4 schedule for GT3.

GT3 is now split into two categories (again, from what I understand), the first being how it is currently, the second being a driver swap race. The first number is the normal series, the second is the driver swap series.

Silverstone international 30/60
Motegi East day 30/60
Road Atlanta 75/60
Sebring 30/120
Suzuka 30/60
Sonoma Long 30/60

Global Challenge Series
Apparently for the shortened season they are keeping the open and fixed series, however iRacing has said it is for sure getting rid of the open series for the 2015 season unless participation GREATLY improves (so it will probably be removed, thank god)

Here's the 2014 S4 Global Challenge Series:
1. Okayama
2. Watkins Glen - Boot
3. Laguna Seca
4. Spa
5. Lime Rock
6. Summit

Personally, this lineup doesn't hold anything special aside from SPA! Have no idea how the Cadillac would be there but it sounds like a lot of fun. Watkins Glen seems to be a solid, proven choice. The rest is pretty basic, and in the case of Okayama, shitty.

Hopefully I can get to B class by Season 1 2015
Welcome Peeble! Glad to see you made it to our glorious forums! I just checked your (I think) driver stats, you seem to be pretty close! From what I saw you were over 3.5... so at the end of this season you'll automatically get a promotion (for being over 3.0). And once you hit 4.0 again bam! Just run a few races and focus only on SR and you're set!

I personally just said fuck it, and rushed almost straight to B class... racing almost solely the Mazda, not caring where I finish but just getting there with a clean SR.

24 Hours of fun:

Week 13’s unofficial competition features the Carburetor Cup at Talladega Superspeedway with the Gen6 Chevy SS, Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry, along with six different 24 Hours of Fun series. When the new build is released, you’ll be able to put the Chevy Silverado (NASCAR Class C) through its paces on our new 1.25 mile oval –Gateway Motosports Park -- in the 24 Hours of Fun 1. Likewise, once the new build goes out roadies can take-on Bathurst in the new Holden VF Commodore in the 24 Hours of Fun 2 or get together with their iRacing pals to check out the great new team/driver swap feature in their GT3 cars – including the new Ford GT GT3 – at the virtual Spa for the 24 Hours of Fun 3. But that’s just for starters. The 24 Hours of Fun 4 features truemulticlass racing with the Mustang FR500S, Mazda MX-5 Cup, SpecRacer Ford, VW Jetta TDi and Chevy Late Model on the Watkins Glen Cup course. And as soon as the new build is released, ovalmeisters will have a chance to taste the new team/driver swap feature in the 24 Hours of Fun 5 with the Super Late Model at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Last but not least, iRacers will be able to channel their inner Hamiltons, Rosbergs, Vettels, Ricardos, Alonsos and Huttus in the Williams-Toyota FW31 at Donington Park in the 24 Hours of Fun 6.
