Yes, and only for the latest model. Licensing for older Paccar owned models are on the way. I've heard SCS CEO talk about the licensing in an interview, and it's not pretty. They even mentioned examples like talking for 2 years about a license, then see their contact leave the company and having to start license talks all over again with the new manufacturer representative.

Not entirely fair Injen, as the next state will add 40-50% more map, for free, and also any new trucks added will be free, as well as other small additions. I'll type a first impression soon, but overall I'm very positive about my purchase, more positive then I expected to be...

no, Shilka, unfair what they are trying to foist us raw and unfinished product, which at least has to be marked as "early access" of 1Gb preprepreprealpha. even the welcome menu stripped from ETS2, how can there be a a complete game? for 20$ (in your region even more) OMG, you seriously??

No, it is $20/€20 everywhere. And they promised us nothing more then this to start with, actually originally we were only going to get California, that Nevada is already in and later on Arizona is actually a bonus on top of what they promised? In march 2014 they already said there would be no unlicensed trucks from the start. The map is awesome and much more detailed then ETS.
Don't forget ETS started as a $35 game, with then very crappy AI and physics, and it took them 4 years to finally get the last license. ETS was unpolished at the start, ATS isn't? Don't forget ETS received 21 patches to make it what it is now...

On a sidenote, there is actually another new feature in the game, that barely anyone has noticed. If you set shifter layout behaviour to 'advanced', your gearbox will become an unsynchronized gearbox.
You'll need to double clutch if you want to shift up fast without gear grinding, and double clutch with blip for down shifting. It's actually modeled so correctly you can shift without a clutch, by timing the upshift at the right rpm, and blipping to the exact rpm for downshifting, as is possible with real life unsynchronized gearboxes. Now that's a neat hidden feature!
(PS, you'll need a manual clutch and gearstick for the above of course)

I'm with Injen on this one, for everyone that played ETS2 this is just some sort of DLC.
Especially if you consider what the modding community for ETS2 already developed over time.
The game is just a reskin of ETS2, and because of me thinking that, i am not even going to toss 20€ in their direction.
I'm glad others are having fun with it tho.
