I have all but combined arms and P51. Perhaps I will go there because I've supported ED since FC1 :)

For me it's a big maybe. It depends on what type of multiplayer options it's presenting us as a squad and how many will pick it up and use it in future squad nights.
As I understand it FC3 is a lighter flight sim than A-10 and Black Shark so maybe this is something I may actually have time to learn (but then again, A-10 or Balck shark is more tempting to my ego).
For now, I'm firmly sitting on my fence ;)

I'll be getting it. There was something I enjoyed allot about just flying those fast jets through the mountains. I never really did much else with it.

I see relase date is 4-Des......
Any off you tryed the beta? and can give some feedback on it.....
Again the interesting thing is that all sims with the DSC can be played online with the DSC installed regarding A-10 , Black shark, FC3 etc.....

Well, first of all you can't buy it without previously owning a copy of FC or LockOn.
I have that however, but I can't figure out if I must install it again or if it's enough
to have it in the drive when installing.

I have "Lock on" and also a Code for "FC1" so im good ;)
I have installed "Lock on" so im ready for Des-4 and the realse for FC3 and wil installe it over "Lock on" basic installed.
Think you at least need to install "Lock on" before installing "FC3"....

I'm going to ask on the official forums because it does say this on some FAQ's but not on others and it seems odd to have to have FC installed when this is a DCS module.

I do have FC somewhere and I did buy a digital copy of FC2 but I don't really want to install either on my system because of the DRM the original FC came with is like the bubonic plague.

Great! Let us know what you learn. Would be good to have only one installation to bother with (and one DRM, as the old one is unacceptable).
What do we know of the multiplayer options for FC3?

So far what I can gather is:
FC3 is basically LOMAC in DCS: World but with all the visual/engine improvements.
You do need to have LOMAC installed to install it as officially its a LOMAC expansion.
The flight model detail is not as great A10C. Its simpler but better than LOMAC.
It's multiplayer is the same as LOMAC.
Doesn't contain clickable cockpits.

The non clickable cockpits is a bit of a pain but just the ability to fly more planes than are currently available is why I'll get it. DCS: Fighter is still way off.

I think its still worth getting. It's still going to be the best jet sim out there when released and the slightly simpler outlook on it will make it easier to do co-op/online.

That said, they have made it clear the FM tables have been revised so they're more realistic. I'm still going to get it.

Same here wil get it when its out tomorrow ;)
Nice that it is not that complicated to get into and probely a fun thing to get some CO-OP mission in it as a squad....
Any one that knows more on CO-OP mission for FC3 or online playing....is there a server and how many players can be online....etc.

Its installed and had a fly around and it all seems pretty good. My CH profile from FC2 worked straight away as none of the button assignments have changed so all I had to do was map the throttle, stick and pedals to each aircraft and could fly right away.

The lack of clickable cockpit is quite annoying, I do like it in the KA50 that I can click on things when I can't remember the short cut or its not mapped to the HOTAS.

The only bug I found was a sound issue in the MIG 29's when breaking the sound barrier but it's hardly a major one.

My only real problem, the same as the BS2, there are no interactive tutorials for any of the aircraft. While its pretty easy to just start up the engines and fly off using the basic control you have to reference the manual to use any of the weapon systems. I really wish ED would add full tutorials for all aircraft. The lack of them for FC3 is forgivable but the lack of a full interactive tutorial for BS2 is not.
