Hey there fellow tardians,
Just recently a number of us has started playing an ArmA 3 mod called: Chernarus Life.
This mod was originally started in ArmA 2 and took place on multiple maps.
The focus of this mod lies heavily on roleplaying with about everything you do.
In the version we're currently playing there's 3 factions that are selectable in the Server lobby.
Factions in the current build are:
CPD (Chernarus police department, whitelisted)
EMS/Medic (Also whitelisted)
CIV* (Civilian)
The civilians can set up gangs to work together in various ways.
They can be doing illegal jobs like drug gathering/processing/delivering or transporting.
Or jobs that don't pay as much but don't cost as much either as they won't get you arrested like driving around as a mailman for example
.
There's also a server supported gang called the "RSA* that control the town of Krashnostav and NEAF preventing police raids so that other civs can do safe business at the drug dealer and black market.
The sole purpose of this gang is to fight against the current government while protecting the people of Chernarus.
We have set up a gang currently that's called "Chernarus Bar and Bakery supply" or C.B.B.S.
This name came from our 2 main sources of income, being grape processing and delivery to Father Tom's pub in Cherno.
It's the pub featured in D.O.A.'s video called "Irish life" elsewhere on this forum.
And gathering colombian baking powder and transporting it to the distribution center another gang delivers to as wel is the other, they're known as the Chernarus Apple Orchard.
We have got plans to look into a cooperation with them as that would make the people of Chernarus able to bake Apple pie!
If anyone is interested to join us or even work against us, there is a few things you have to do.
The first thing is downloading the mod as Chernarus doesn't come with ArmA3 originally.
This mod contains a combination of maps from ArmA2 that might be implemented in the life mod on a later stage
This also explains the rather huge filesize for an ArmA mod.
Due to the fact that the file is so big there's only the option to download via torrent.
I could add the torrent link to the post when i am back at my computer but the server owner requires your player id* to be whitelisted on the server, so you have to register anyway.
