Arma 3 Enters Playable Alpha On March 5th

lol well there certainly are some bugs that they need to iron out. The one thing they have seemed to fix though is now AI can disembark a damaged vehicle and join a group (or player) without the vehicle first having to complete the waypoint.

Of course I've only tried this on Editor placed wapoints and not on marker spawned waypoints linked to a trigger.

The other thing I've noticed is that AI will join a group after departing a vehicle and follow the leader but if a cycle waypoint is used, the leader will inexplicably tell the soldier to getInDriver vehicle which I guess confuses the guy as he goes prone and pretty much does nothing after that.

Next up is seeing if AI controlled vehicles can navigate a town. I'd also like to see if they can navigate a bridge but I haven't run across any so far on this island.

BTW, the volumetric clouds are awesome!!!

As soon as I have set up my Arma3 controls and are happy with them I will start to dabble with the mission editor too. I'm not promising that any missions will come out of it though...

Not only would it be cool and fun, it would get more into the game and more of us on TS at the same time.

Got it as well yesterday and played for about an hour. This game simply looks amazing, and it runs pretty good on my 4.5 yr old machine. Didn't change any of the video options yet though, left them at the default settings.

The game still has a lot of Arma touches, but yet it feels very different (in a positive way).
