This time I'll find another mission for us that should be more challenging for us. Also, the number of players will be a factor on what mission we'll play so if you know you will join please let me know as soon as possible as that gives me more time to find a good mission ;)

I also do requests if anyone have other suggestions for a mission...

If you want to join this event, let me know by typing a short message in this thread.

I'm on TS from 2000 CET.

Sounds great Ninja-n00b :D
Sorry about the date but it is in norwegian (DD.MM.YYYY). Maybe I should add the name of the day as well, hmm...

Looking good here, but later: at ~ 21.00 CET. So it would be great to have a mission that supports "join in progress" ;)

And me...I'm just waiting for it to be available on Steam ;)

@Wotan: If we're ready to start a mission before you join we'll probably play a short "warm-up" mission or something like that while you get ready.

I'll be there, also, downloading III as I type!

Duke asked me if we could move the ArmA mission events into the ArmA forum to possibly include any DayZ/Wasteland players out there who might want to try it, what do you guys think?

Well, if there's people there who might be interested and otherwise miss out? Sure, why not!
The more the merrier as always and I guess there are many that are extra curious about Arma now when Arma3 is making headlines.
Any other views on this?

I've been ill since wednesday so I haven't had the mindpower to post these earlier. I'm still not 100% so this will just be a short AAR.
I forgot to start FRAPS at the beginning so our first mission, the SUV hunt, isn't here at all. That's a real shame as it was a very intense and exciting mission with lots of shootouts and teamwork.

Our next mission was a search for a corrupt UN officer and the stuff he brought to an enemy village. Besides killing the officer we were to find and destroy two UN trucks with weapons and two shipments of heroin.
We started in the mountains outside the village and had to secure two respawn points before starting the search. We split up in two teams and headed for each our spawn points (OK, we headed off the wrong way as we were supposed to go two teams on one spawn point, but it turned out OK anyway :))

Rolfy, Doc and me getting into position above our target area

The spawn point was defended but the guards were focusing on the other team

After capturing the spawn point we were getting attacked by insurgents from the nearby village. Our guardian angel (Quicksilver?) in the A10 helped a lot to discourage any large groups of attackers, but some slipped through anyway and some of them got pretty close.

Rolfy and Doc getting into defensive positions

We met up with the other team and started to focus on the search. There were still plenty of enemies around but our position was well defended.

The search area, or about half of it

With Duke, Ogami, Wotan and Doc in overwatch, me and Rolfy headed down to the village to search the buildings for the officer.

Entering the first building

Some enemies were hiding inside the building but they were cleared out without too much trouble. Rolfy got wounded once but healed up and continued.

After much searching we found the first of the two trucks and heroin

The A10 destroyed the last truck when we understood what we were looking for and not long after the heroine was gone up in smoke too.
Finding the UN officer proved to be a much more difficult task. After a long long search we gave up on him and called it a night.

We didn't find the officer, but his adjutant didn't get home that day

It was nice to see so many joining our event this evening and it turned out to be a really good session. Beginning from our next event I will post the roll call in the Arma2 section of the forums and not only in the 332Viking forums. Hopefully more people will be happy to join us there as it doesn't come off as a "332Viking only"-happening.

Thanks to everyone who joined and made these two missions so fun!
