ARMA2 event 24.07.2012 - Roll Call

Tonight we're going to play a new mission we have (maybe?) not played before.
Host for tonight will most likely be Wotan as I haven't resolved my connection issues yet.

The mission:
co08_baf_grab_bag.Takistan
Grab Bag is a multiplayer coop mission for up to 8 players in a single squad. A Britsh paratrooper section is inserted in hostile territory in order to seize three backpacks with IED materials.

I'm on TS from 2000 CET.

Nah, i'v ereinstalled everything and gone back to one GC, skipped crossfire for good. However it's just the old trustworthy 6870

Rawr! To keep me from googling CET every time CET=UTC+1 and technically you're CEST right now (UTC+2). EDT is UTC-4 for all North Americans reference.

So that's why you were late to the party? Good thing is, we found a workaround for the connection problems.

CET is GMT+1 (or +2 during winter). GMT=UTC I think. All those always confuses me too so I thought using CET was a brilliant way for me not to screw up summer and winter time and timezones in general :icon_cheesygrin:
I found this link which may be helpful: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc. In that list, is America/Montreal good as your timezone? If so I could include it in future events, together with the link. Thanks for pointing it out btw.

I saw you on TS yesterday, when we logged off. If you wanted to join just give us a shout and if possible we'll start a new mission or something.

Good thing we found the fix for the tedious connection bug in gamespy, took us just two hours to be able to play :icon_twisted::lol:

The event was absolutely fun and the highlight must be that on our last try we successfully completed the mission without any friendly losses, even though we were just four. That's quite an achievement! And satchels by night is always pretty :icon_cheesygrin:
