Picked this up from Steam, and it's incredible. For the first hour after I booted it up I really thought I'd wasted my money, but after getting some advice and playing around with the settings, both visual and controller, it has blown me away. I decided not to get an Xbox One as they are just too damn expensive for one game that interested me (Forza), and I've been looking for something on PC to replace it, and... wow. The sounds in this Sim are incredible, and the feedback you get makes just lapping around a pure joy. Considering it's only on version 0.2 this is going to be absolutely amazing as time goes on!

Just thought if anyone else is into their motorsport I'd mention it

I've been playing this for a bit now. My preference is the GT2 cars and that's pretty much why I picked it up.

I have a bunch of stuff recorded for the game that will be up on YouTube very shortly as a first impressions video.

Bought this the day it came out! Using a G25 at the moment, this and Power & Glory means lots of good racing for me at the moment!

Ya I'm using a Logitech MOMO Wheel/Pedal combination as well as Track IR 5.

Nice, trying to use a controller but it's not happening. If I can rob a bank I'd pick up a G27, but in the meantime I'm getting used to the pad. Well, looks like a few of us have got it then at least, bring on multiplayer

Just pick up a MOMO because you should be able to find them cheap. There built quite solid and the clamping system means the wheel stays put and does not travel. You can also change the gearshift left or right of the wheel depending on preference.

There is no clutch though so...

Yeah I did look at them mate, but I've been looking at ones with a clutch pedal. I can always use the microsoft wireless FF wheel and pedals with the wireless adapter I use for the controller, but I've always wanted a clutch pedal...
The new update is really nice though, added some new tracks and cars, including the track I was at only a few weeks ago (Silverstone International). I can vouch for the feel of it, it's got all the camber and bumps in all the right places, very impressive! And with the new controller settings I can drive really well with the pad. Also, it runs a lot better now framerate wise, I think they changed some reflection coding etc. Love this game, I was hotlapping around Silverstone with the P4/5 and before I knew it I'd lost half an hour...

Am I right in saying that Momo wheel isn't 900 degree rotation?

Whatever control method we all use, it will be a lot of fun racing together

Maybe we should have a little hotlap challenge before then?

lol why do you need 900 degree wheel rotation, you're not backing in a trailer or driving a school bus?

Maybe you meant 90 degree in which case it does probably in the neighborhood of 120 I think.

Hotlap challenge, I'm in. Just let me know the car and track and I'll give you my times.

If possible though not drift challenges because I absolutely hate drift.

Although not for this thing that we're doing, I'm very much into gymkhana and drifting so a 900 degree wheel just adds to the immersion, but trouble is it costs a lot more!

I'll need a new wheel though, as my current one won't work on Windows 7. Any suggestions?

From what I've been reading it's G25/G27 if you want a clutch, other than that either Duke's one or the Driving Force GT... I'm using an Xbox controller though and it's great, although I've asked Santa for a used G27
