Well, it's finally here. 4k @ 144 Hz with G-Sync, IPS panel. Anyone got a couple of NVidia 1080's in SLI to run this monster? Biggest gripe I read in the comments at various tech sites was the small 27" screen size in 4k, many figure it should have been at least a 30" - 32".

This is going to be the go-to monitor providing you have the hardware for it. Would be best to wait another generation or two of GPU's to be released. I'm guessing it will be about $2000 Cdn retail price, I don't really plan on getting one soon however I would be lying if I didn't have future plans in the next year or two for one of these bad boys. ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announcedthe Swift PG27UQ. This 27-inch G-SYNC HDR (HDR10) gaming monitor is the first to offer a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution on a 144Hz refresh rate. The IPS screen is based on Quantum Dot technology.
Quantum-dot display technology gives PG27UQ a wide DCI-P3 color gamut for more realistic colors and smooth color gradations. In addition, PG27UQ has a peak brightness of 1,000cd/m² and a high contrast ratio for exceptional distinction between light and dark hues. G-SYNC variable refresh rate technology provides tear-free, smooth, and low-lag gameplay. PG27UQ is built for gaming enthusiasts and pro-gamers, and is designed to take gaming visuals to a whole new level.
ROG Swift PG27UQ is the very first monitor to run 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) content at a 144Hz refresh rate to provide gamers with detailed ultra-high definition visuals at extremely super-smooth frame-rates. Gamers are treated to unmatched levels of detail, with sharp images and crisp text. Fast-moving visuals pose no problem for PG27UQ thanks to an ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rate. This results in silky-smooth gameplay with no frustrating lag or motion blur, so gamers get the upper hand in first- person shooters, racing, real-time strategy and sports titles. ROG Swift PG27UQ features two DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI port for 4K UHD content playback and versatile connectivity.
NVIDIA ® G-SYNC High Dynamic Range (HDR) monitors offer a range of luminance that is closer to what the human eye can experience, and offer a wider color range than traditional monitors. ROG Swift PG27UQ features G-SYNC HDR technology for a peak brightness several times greater than standard displays for stunning, vivid visuals. The LED backlight is dynamically controlled across 384 zones, enabling very high contrast for richer, more natural dark scenes. Quantum-dot technology provides brighter images and supports the cinema-standard DCI-P3 color gamut. DCI-P3 has a 25%-wider color range than sRGB, resulting in more realistic colors.
In-plane switching (IPS) technology also gives PG27UQ wide viewing angles so there is no color shift even when viewing the monitor from extreme positions. NVIDIA G-SYNC and HDR technologies deliver super smooth, tear-free visuals and the most breathtaking and responsive HDR gaming imaginable with incredible contrast, deep saturated colors, and stunning brightness.
