I'm fine with whatever. I can do more Lemons, or we can do Porsche's at Phillip. Lukewarm on IMSA at Mid-Ohio, I just don't like Mid-Ohio...sorry Ken :|

e: I also don't mind more Zolder. I love Zolder, so that's fine too.

I'm good with Philip Island as well, it's a great track and certainly high on my list of favorites.

Having said that it is still very much:
  1. VIR
  2. Mid-Ohio
  3. Rhythm courses usually incorporating elevation changes and nature
  4. everything else

maybe we're not so different after all @Duke :p

i love flowing tracks that require a lot of trail braking, but i don't usually care too much about nature when driving :p
i wouldn't mind to drive a 24h of mid-ohio (....if anyone from iRacing is watching)

Super excited for GTE cars to come to the service. I know the timing with Le Mans isn't great but stuff happens. I'll be putting a ton of time in to the 488 GTE (though I'm still driving the HPD for Le Mans).

Just a heads up here folks, I don't think I'll have the time to skin 3 cars before the event (HPD, Ferrari, Ford). We're going to need to narrow it down some if I'm to have a chance of getting this work done.

Even without the website currently being fucked beyond all repair I'd have a difficult time getting this done on my busy schedule.

That complicates things a bit. Our Ford team won't be sure what we will be able to drive until ~June 6. Also, we can guess that the GTE class will be most popular at Le Mans, but because they're released so late (if at all) I don't think the popularity will be much higher than the HPD.

I think they are going to have an issue if they put the GTE's on the track with the GT1's. 2017/2016 spec GTE cars are just a pubic hairs width away from being as fast as the GT1 cars in ProtoGT. With driver skill discrepancies taken in to account, you're going to have the GTE's blowing away the GT1's in some splits. It's going to be like the GT1's and GTE's are the same class in other splits.

Frankly, as much as I think it would be painful, if they are going to include the GTE's in Le Mans they should just pull the bandaid off and make it GTE's + HPD. They probably won't do that, because it would force a lot of people to buy a new car to participate...but they should. I would guess the 2018 LeMans race ends up being GTE + LMP (since the 919 is almost certainly coming this year, and the 991 RSR GTE is rumored for fall as well).

I don't want to confuse anyone. I'm extremely excited for the Ford but I'm still FOR ABSOLUTELY SURE DRIVING THE ASTON. I don't like to rush anything. There will be plenty of chances for me to drive the Ford in future endurance races.

Yep, have fun with this, guys...
lol I love the fact that iRacing is bringing out these cars but I hate it when they f3ck around before an Endurance event.

Admittedly I'm still a bit salty with the tire model bs that happened around Sebring.

I don't see the HPD team going anywhere, as it sounds like Matt, Nejt and I are confirmed with it regardless how this plays out. There is nothing threatening the Aston team, yet (car already painted), unless people just decide to bail on it.o_O

All that is at risk is our Ford team, and it will be a last minute call between the Ford GT2 (needs a rear wing fix) and Ford/Ferrari GTE (complete new skin).

I am still very much driving the HPD. I am not going to drive a car in an endurance event with as little practice as I would have in either GTE car. Don't get me wrong, I'll be doing PLENTY of 488 GTE...but not for Le Mans.

OK thanks guys, much appreciated.

I know what the new Ford looks like and seeing that side I know it's going to be 3 or 4 panels right where the red B2O lies. I'm expecting it to be McLaren levels of difficult to paint.

Hopefully the Ferrari is better.
