That's good, it actually gives me all night tonight to try and button up the HPD as much as possible.

Practice will be Mon. Wed. Fri. @ 8pm EST. There will probably be other days too. Keep an eye on teamspeak, there should be random practice throughout the week. Matter of fact, I'm practicing right now. See?!

The only day in question right now is Thursday as there will probably be a number of us burned out on practice looking to kill people in Battlefield 1.

Ford GT first look:

Doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the 488 (which is true to RL, the Ford GT sounds like a modern F1 car, or flies buzzing).

Agreed and given the challenge of driving with the HPDs, and the size of those A pillars, may not be the best choice. Although that camera looks helpful.

At first sight I like the Ferrari better. What's cool about the Ford is the display of real-time tyre pressures on the steering wheel. Not a fan of the placeholder texture a.k.a. carbon fibre on the wheel.

@Zac_Sonic I'd like to watch you drive this Ford through the caroussel at Nürburgring

I updated my ugly spreadsheet with a schedule for the HPD team. Hopefully I stayed within everyone's times, but look it over to make sure it's okay! Also, if anyone would like to swap for the last stint, feel free to claim it and I'll switch!

I am going to pass on driving this weekend unless there is a switch made to a different car. I cannot manage to get the AM around for 45-60 minutes without several off-tracks, etc. That doesn't bode well for team driving. I spent several hours Fri-Mon trying to get things right only to get frustrated. Plus I haven't had the time that I had hoped with graduation, etc. I'll keep an eye on the this to see if things might change.

@John Navara they have already dropped the Aston, Corvette, and Ford from the event. They're replacing the old ACO GT1 and GT2 cars with the new GTE Ferrari 488 and Ford GT. The new cars will be coming out tomorrow, and the GTE teams will be testing them to see which one Band of Others will be running at Le Mans.

@Zac_Sonic I didn't realize they were dropping the AM, just adding the Ferrari and exchanging the Fords.

The GTE car is in between GT1 and GT2, so they couldn't combine them.

Plus, iRacing is going to sell a whole bunch of cars super quick tomorrow!

we have several teams. isn't it possible we run both cars?

Again, Ken barely has time to skin one car, and he's already under a lot of pressure. Watkins Glen is in less than 3 weeks, running IMSA cars (afaik) if people want to run both GTE cars in an endurance event, but right now we're in a rush, Sam. One car means only one car to paint and only one car to setup.

Didn't realize they were taking the GT1 off the list. My fault for not paying attention. I guess I'll wait and see which one is picked by B2O and then buy it.

i have some photoshop experience. i get your point but honestly i would much rather drive my prefered car with a mediocre paint than drive a race, so important to me, in my non prefered car. as for the setup, if each team would just work on their own car i don't think it'd be a problem, the set isn't going to be perfect anyway.

this just how i feel. maybe we will settle on 1 car i don't know. i just don't think it's the best way to limit the whole team to 1 car because of a paint.

(if i were to be the only one who wants to drive a different car then i can understand )
