I don't know actually because I LOVE this scheme on the V8 Supercar but didn't like the way it translated to the Cadillac. Ideally I'd like to have a unique style/theme for each series but that may take some time.

Are there any existing paint schemes in the real world that you guys like we could take inspiration from?

Just a heads up, all four links download ...-Dino-Topic.tga! But if you take that out of the url and replace it with -[your]-[name].tga then it will download the right file until Duke fixes it!

If possible I'd love us V8SC guys to get together this Friday night and turn laps at the Week 1 S3 Track. I'm more than happy to host a few sessions as I'd love to record some of the footage.

Start time would be between 5 - 6 PM EST Friday June 12.

W1 track is Zolder - Alternate. I'm kinda enjoying it and found a decent qualy setup.

Nice job on the paint. Looks really nice! Something I've always had trouble with is integrating sponsors onto a paint. Its tough to make them work together and not overpower or just fade away.

The mirrors are a nice touch too. I'm going to try and get on friday but I'm not sure if I have plans. I think it's time for me to ditch the white paint and go with the rest of the team. Care to make one of these for me? I think I'll just go with white wheels and mirrors.

Only thing is I wish we'd have the name on the wing nice and big, like a lot of other teams run, rather than the band of others logo. Use the space where the name is now for that or something. With some of the later paints I made, like Dino's, had his name on the wing in a large font.

Yup I'd be happy to update your paint Kyle and will do so tonight.

I wasn't sure what to do about the names as I had noticed you had a few on the wing but others not. I just changed it in the interests of continuity and can change it back if that's what people want.

I'd end up removing the avatar and driver name on the trunk though just so we could add another sponsor or 2 in that position.

...also you'll notice I moved your Icon to behind the door for better visibility. Marc pointed out it was quite hidden behind the front fender which I agree.

I forgot to mention that I could adjust driver paints a bit to better match selected rim color.

In Noel's case I could adjust the half tone image to match the rims/mirrors; with Dino I could make the red striping match the rims/mirrors; Marc and I are already done.

If we use this mindset then you could pick whatever color you want Kyle and we could alter either the striping or half tone to match.

I wouldn't go crazy, I think I like it limited to the mirrors and rims, personally. If you start changing the secondary color, it starts to get as Dino said, power ranger-like.

Thanks for moving my icon. I think a large name on the wing is much better than the crap on the trunk. Just use the trunk for something else. At the beginning when I first made the paint, it was like that, but when I went through a first round of changes and a few driver additions, I made the name on the wing. Not sure if I just didn't get around to updating everyone's or what.

I agree with having custom colors limited to details such as mirrors and rims. Overall paint is representing the community and details distinguish people within without smacking you in the face to make sure you know it does.

I do like the idea of breaking that wing up a little bit rather then having all four surfaces say Band of Others, and the name on the bottom of the wing is a cleaner look. Can you fit "[Avatar] NAME [Flag]" on the bottom of the wing? Rather then scrapping the avatar all together? Everything else looks damn fine, though Ken. You did an awesome job on the decals and I like the small personalized touches without going overboard!

With avatars at the bottom of the wing I was thinking specifically about Noel here because his avatar will be nothing but a smudged mess of pixels that will be indiscernible at all viewing angles and distances. As it is, resized it doesn't even look like a Guitar.

The same can be said for many of our avatars as they'll be difficult to make out given it's not a vertical surface. Kyle's Avatar is nearly impossible to make out resized as is mine even on the vertical surface of the trunk.

Name and Flag shouldn't be an issue because there all pretty recognizable so I can certainly make that happen without issue.

As for the avatars I'd suggest we just scrap them entirely because they're really not needed anymore.

Either that or we move them to another vertical surface but where I don't know because we're getting pressed for space a little currently.

... or we make them bigger and leave them on the trunk with flag but it may end up looking a bit tacky and out of place.

Now that Deck has requested images of our cars for their website I'd like them to look as professional as possible and I fear the avatars may detract from that goal somewhat.

I've even discussed (all be it lightly) with Natural Point the possibility of us promoting TrackIR at a discount similar to how Dslyecxi (Shack Tactical) does.

Incidentally for names do you like the current format of First Name "Nickname" Last name or do you want it displayed differently?

Just remember the more words the smaller the font becomes as type should run roughly the same proportions as all other text on the car for continuity sake.

I'm ok with just the my name on the bottom of the wing the way Daunt did it, and leaving the truck for sponsor logos or whatnot.

I'm fine with scrapping the avatars. They're too much. I'd prefer to have just a simple one word name, like Kyle or Zac, Dino, etc. A good sized flag as well. Maybe even on the sides of the wing as well (even though the b2o is nice there)

lol ya Daunt, my copy of Hooked on Phoenix is in the mail.

I'll get the remainder of the work done and uploaded tonight guys.

I'll be adding Deck to the trunk in place of the current Avatar/Username combo along with their catchphrase.
