B2O S3R1 Blancpain League Race: Friday night June 17, 2016

[Daunt]

We begin the season anew in the Dunes north of Zandvoort in the Netherlands, home of Circuit Park Zandvoort. The 4.3km-long track features 13 turns and hosts a number of races, including DTM, Blancpain and F3.

Among the 13 turns you'll find a number of different types of corners that will test each driver differently. A long, sweeping downhill, or a blind tight decreasing radius, or the slow right-left of the Audi S. With some tight portions of pavement intermixed with wide passing areas equally, extensive knowledge of the track will be required to make use of every inch of it to the fulllest.

Open Qualify Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour. Participants are required to put down a reasonable time (within 3 seconds of the leader) to qualify for the Q-race. If any less than 3 laps are put down, or the driver is not within 3 seconds of the leader, he/she will be put at the back of the grid.

Qualify Race starts at 8:30 PM EST spanning 40 minutes of practice and finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race, gridded per the open qualify session prior.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minutes warmup and a 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

I cracked. Bought it. So far a fun, tight track with such extreme differences in corners that it's going to be tough to dominate the entirety of it.

My race last night, once again, was disrupted by another DDOS. It's a shame some moron is doing it. Halfway through, servers dropped and just about everyone got booted for 5 minutes. A few didn't get booted or were able to reconnect immediately, while the majority were able to connect after 5-10 minutes. I was able to reconnect quickly, bypassing a few positions and staying there in 5th.

Very shitty T5 finish.

I like this track but am horrifically slow on it. Oh well, there is still a little time to close the gap a little.

You're in good company my friend, I'm slow and inconsistent here. I'm really just hoping to finish this week without causing anyone any issues.

Yeah honestly don't worry about being fast right away. It's all about consistency, close racing and having fun.

With the DDOS attacks that have occurred almost every night this week during USTZ hours, we should be prepared for it.

In the event of a DDOS attack which results in multiple driver disconnects during a race (not practice), a full course yellow will be thrown and driver positions will be frozen at that point in time. The race will not resume until all drivers are able to reconnect. If the race ends before this happens, the results will reflect where the field was frozen at first disconnect.
