A return from Europe sees the B2O Blancpain Series visit the southern United States to the 4km-long track of Road Atlanta. Playing host to many big racing events such as the Petit Le Mans. With at least three configurations, the main layout features twelve twisting turns and many elevation changes.

A car well suited to curb hobs and bumps is going to excel here at Road Atlanta. Turn 3 in itself is usually hopped and the esses going downhill usually demand plenty of spring compression, not to mention exiting turn 5's left hander. Generally most of the turns are medium to low speed turns, with the slow turn 7 being the most critical on the circuit, opening up to the long straight and the best passing opportunity down into turn 10, the left right chicane. So being able to handle low/medium speed turns with good turn in and fast weight transfer will be important.

Open Qualify Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour. Participants are required to put down a reasonable time (within 3 seconds of the leader) to qualify for the Q-race. If any less than 3 laps are put down, or the driver is not within 3 seconds of the leader, he/she will be put at the back of the grid.

Qualify Race
starts at 8:30 PM EST spanning 40 minutes of practice and finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race, gridded per the open qualify session prior.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minutes warmup and a 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

Yet another week I'll be missing, sorry to say. (Not really about the track... the Audi doesn't seem to be a safe choice here)

Hopefully this will be my final missed week of this season... thankfully the season ends before my two week long honeymoon trip to Little P's land of EU-less England.

I might have a guest driver who would like to do a one time only race , he can race late at night but only today. I thought it might be good for numbers if to few people show up. He is very fast en respectfull.

I can't make it either I'm afraid. I'm trying to secure a web project and have a lot of work to do prior to my meeting.

I'll be back Monday night but aside from popping in here now and then you won't see much of me the next 3 or 4 days.

Sorry guys, this should be my last drop week.

VLN was out of control yesterday :D My teammate, Reid, had a computer glitch trying to get in, so I had to start the race. OMG!!!!!! So out of control crazy!!!! How we survived the start, I don't know. We started at 44th position. I was able to move us up 18 positions in the first hour and at the end we finished 14th :D Considering we were driving against teams with qualifying times at 8:00, I was very pleased as my qualifying time was 8:23. So, I should be ready for League in a couple of weeks when we get to Nurburgring. And if anyone wants to join any of the next couple of VLNs, it is so fun!
