Leading up to the 24 hours of Spa, the B2O Blancpain Series travels to the forests of Belgium for the historic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Having seen many different forms throughout the years, dating back to 1922, Spa has been host to many motorsports events through the decades, from F1, to many touring car championships. With some of the most famous corners and scenery in racing, Spa is perhaps one of the most famous circuits in the world.

The smooth pavement of Spa will require a good tradeoff between high and low downforce. Many medium and high speed turns demand greater wing angle to keep the rear planted, yet with a few long straights, a car with less downforce will also excel. A big thing to tweak at Spa is weight transfer. Playing with ARBs (for once the car has taken its set), LS springs and rear diff will be key to finding a good setup, not to mention toe.

Open Qualify Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour. Participants are required to put down a reasonable time (within 3 seconds of the leader) to qualify for the Q-race. If any less than 3 laps are put down, or the driver is not within 3 seconds of the leader, he/she will be put at the back of the grid.

Qualify Race
starts at 8:30 PM EST spanning 40 minutes of practice and finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race, gridded per the open qualify session prior.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minutes warmup and a 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

No worries. Noel and I will take over for Friday and we'll have a great turnout anyway. In fact there might be 50% less rear ending. The rest of that percentage depends on whether @Fromthenavy shows up.

I feel horrible for the short notice but this is the way it is, at least in my world of Webmastering. This should be my last missed week though as nothing else has this priority level.

...and hopefully it stays that way for a good long time.
